As their Christmas special, 3A decided to visit the Fliplab in Schwechat. Right next to the airport in Schwechat, the students trained to fly on their own: crouch down, jump, boing! Unfortunately, the time flew by but unlike to Icarus we can go again.
After a great presentation our 3A students got very close up with earthworms.
Freedom of press, democracy and children’s rights. The 4A class turned their attention to these important topics in the religion lesson.
Mrs. Jahn is a somewhat elderly lady (97) who is no longer able to look after her small sized “Schreber” garden due to her near blind situation. Mowing the grass, tidying up in and in front of the house weeding, sowing, putting down seedlings etc. are activities Mrs. Jahn can no longer accomplish alone....
Our pupils from the 6th form regularly visited the senior citizen residential building, Haus Wienerberg. The project originally planned for pupils to read post-war Austrian writers to the residents, but the project didn’t have any fixed rules. It was just basically about getting the older and more experienced generation together with the younger ones...
7A and 8A visited the FH-Campus Wien. In quick steps the Leaving Certificate and with that academic studies start. In-depth information about all the different degrees offered in Austria is very important when trying to make the right choice. Therefore, we learn about all the different options.
The last workshop of ExperiFun is this year already history. Children from all parts of Vienna have intensely experimented in not less than ten stations covering flame colouring, electrical circuit, chromatography, microscopies and a volcano in the sitting room including self-made lava lamps in a two-hour session thereby learning in a playful manner the fundamentals...
Last year’s primary school leaving class won the competition, “Wer zusammenhält gewinnt”. As one of the prizes, they got visited by the professional football players of SK Rapid. Maximilan Hofmann, Philipp Schobesberger and Mateo Barac visited the winners, who had already moved on to our Secondary School. Interviews, signing autographs and kicking a ball around...
